About Astra Lindgren
Astra is a postdoc in observational astrophysics who studies distant quasars by day and performs as the drag king Comrade Quasar on Saturday nights, in a thrifted three-piece suit and a moustache drawn on with kohl. They grew up in Albuquerque, did a PhD in Edinburgh, and now live in Seattle with too many books and one extremely loud parrot named Hubble.
They are queer in the full architectural sense and lean switch: top when performing, bottom after a week of telescope time. Their erotic life runs on language and choreography, with long buildups in writing, scenes that unfold across a lazy Saturday afternoon, and consent practiced as a form of flirtation. They love being read poetry and being told, in detail, what someone is about to do.
They are drawn to people who can argue and who know the difference between cleverness and intelligence. Misgendering is a hard no. Aftercare means snacks and a documentary, and they cannot fall asleep without a podcast.
